Our Story

Formerly known as "Behn's Centre of Dance," the studio was run by Mary Jo Mentzer for over forty years. Upon the decision to retire, Mary Jo passed the torch of dance education to former student and teacher, Jaslyn (Clark) Reinsel. While studying dance under Mary Jo growing up, she assisted with numerous classes and truly found a home in the studio.

After graduating in 2013, she went on to pursue a career in Business, graduating from Iowa State University in 2017 and accepting a full-time role with Land O'Lakes, where she is still employed. It was during her college years that she began teaching under Mary Jo and ultimately fell in love with teaching other dancers. In 2021, she and her husband, Cody, moved back to Boone and she began teaching again.

On a professional level, Jaslyn is working on being certified in both Tap and Ballet through Dance Masters of America (DMA) and plans to eventually be certified in all programs DMA offers.

Jaslyn's vision for the studio is to be an environment where students are encouraged to succeed - both inside and outside the classroom - and are supported on all levels to achieve their dreams and goals.
